Inhaled Particles and NanOEH Conference 2023

In 2023, two internationally renowned conferences, Inhaled Particles and NanOEH are coming together to disseminate the current knowledge and understanding surrounding (nano)particle and fibre hazard, exposure and risk. This collaborative conference will be held in Manchester (UK) at the Hilton Deansgate hotel, between the 15th and 18th of May 2023.

The 'Inhaled Particles' Conference series, now in its 62nd year, is a long-standing conference of the British Occupational Hygiene Society bringing together a multi-disciplinary community of scientists who have the inhalation of all types of particles and fibres as their key research focus.

The 10th NanOEH Conference provides a platform for the presentation of research which enhances the current knowledge on occupational and environmental health of nanomaterials in the working and general environment. It facilitates sharing of the current state of the art for strategies towards exposure assessment, hazard evaluation and risk assessment.

The purpose of this joint meeting will be to bring together experts and early career researchers within the fields of occupational health and exposure, modelling, epidemiology and toxicology from academia, industry, and regulation to discuss the key aspects of the field, recent findings and how the discipline needs to move forward to answer the plethora of questions still being asked. A further key focus of this conference will be to assess the suitability and applicability of methods being utilised to answer such questions. The conference will be balanced with an integrative social schedule, as well as promoting early-career researcher development along with prizes and award lectures.

NanOEH 10

The NanOEH Conference provides a platform for the presentation of research which enhances the current knowledge on occupational and environmental health of nanomaterials in the working and general environment. It facilitates sharing of the current state of the art for strategies towards exposure assessment, hazard evaluation and risk assessment. The 10th conference is set to have an exciting program, including: keynote speakers, thematic sessions, oral sessions, and poster sessions. In addition there will be a special initiative for early career researchers including an Early Career Researcher Award.

Themed sessions

Anyone who would like to propose a themed session (usually around 90 minutes duration with 4-5 speakers) should submit the relevant abstracts as per the standard process and then email conferences@bohs.org to outline the session and the abstract numbers that pertain to it. These will then be considered by the scientific committee (after review) when planning the conference programme. Please note that presenters in themed sessions are expected to register as a delegate and there are no available contributions to travel etc. from the conference organisers.

You can submit an abstract here, and it will be announced how to book and exhibit at the conference soon.
